These are just ideas to help spark your imagination. This shoot is all about your authentic self, so feel completely free to play, experiment. The following are ‘guidlines’ You are free to push the limits. :)
Finding Your Vibe: Think about the energy you'd love to project in your photos. Are you feeling classic and timeless? Bold and edgy? Playful and relaxed? Keeping a few specific words in mind can really help as you curate your wardrobe.
Playing with Texture: A chunky knit sweater, cool stitching on a jacket, or delicate lace all photograph beautifully. I generally recommend being careful aorund loud, distracting patterns/logos just so that you remain the absolute focus of the image.
Visuals for Inspo: Create a Pinterest board or save an inspiration album on your phone so you can share with me what inspires you!
From the Ground Up: Shoes are always fun to consider! They really anchor your wardrobe and can instantly bring a specific attitude or confidence to a photograph.
Options Are Everything: Feel free to bring 3–4 distinct looks. Having options gives plenty of room to play with different moods and backdrops.
Layers & Accessories: These add incredible depth to a photo: Some examples…. hats, structured coats, amazing glasses or sunglasses, and layered jewelry. If you love vintage, I'd love to see those unique finds—gloves, a pocket watch, a retro tea pot, or even your pet! (Not that your pet is vintage, but you get the idea!).
Celebrating What You Love: Are you into sports, music, or a specific hobby? Bring along the gear, instruments, or props that reflect what you genuinely love doing.
Milestone Moments: Treat yourself! Wear a brand-new outfit, borrow something amazing, or rent a statement piece. If you have a prom look -whether that’s a suit, a stunning dress, or a unique two-piece, -bring it along. And of course, bring your cap and gown if you have them!
Experiment & Have Fun: This is completely your shoot. I have the time to capture a lot of different facets of who you are, so don’t be afraid to push your creative edge. Bring your favorite casual comfort clothes, but also consider bringing something you might not wear every day. My main goal is for this to be an incredibly fun, relaxed experience for you.
