About Shawnalee:
I am an artist first and foremost. I have such vivid memories of my grandmother’s studio space where she painted. The smells of oil paint drying on the canvas….I am so lucky that my parents encouraged my creative side as I grew. Eventually, after graduating from high school, I received my training in both design & photography at Emily Carr University in Canada.
This formal education in the arts combined with the influence of my grandmother, led me to see the human form through an artist’s lense. You are art- regardless of your shape! In all honesty, imperfections are often your best qualities.
Something else that is incredibly important to me is story. I believe everyone has a story to tell. Working with the camera as my tool, I believe that I can capture your beautiful story. Told through light and form.
I typically work out of my gorgeous industrial style studio at the Ford Building. However, going on location is also possible.
